The show host, Jeff Keifling, began his experience as a radio show host on WAIF 88.3 FM in Cincinnati in 2000 with a mid-afternoon time slot conversing with phone-in guests about the emerging technology of the internet on his live show Virtual Mentality. Since then he has learned podcasting hands-on from the most experienced talents in the industry online and at live events such as Podfest USA held in Orlando and Podcast Movement over in Anaheim.
Jeff holds a Certificate in Genealogical Research from Boston University, and in 2017 attended the Forensic Genealogy Institute in San Antonio, Texas, and completed the Advanced Genetic Genealogy course from the Genealogical Institute of Pittsburgh (GRIP). He is a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists, the National Genealogical Society, and several state, local, and regional societies.
Jeff speaks into a Heil PR-40 microphone in the studio, or an Audio-Technica 2100 while on the road, which goes into a 12 track 1202VLZ4 Mackie mixer, and out to a Roland R-05 digital recorder. He writes, plays, and records all intro and exit music.
